More Artist Research
Ikeno Metaka (Daigo Ikeno)

Daigo has worked for capcom since 1983. He has worked as a promotional illustrator and character designer across several of capcoms key game series. I have selected him because I am interested in the art style he has used recently in his character concepts for street fighter 4 and SSF4AE. Again his work not only shows great character design, it also maintains a distinctive art style as if the paintings have come to life.

Thankyou Wikipedia

As much as I would like to aim high for the Lead Artist role. I think a more reasonable entry point for me currently would be as a sprite or concept artist within the 2D field... I think this is more suited to my natural talents.
Production Artists
- As part of the game art process, massive numbers of production artists are needed to complete the finishing
touches on characters, backgrounds, textures and coloring in of the actual game environment itself. This requires a steady hand and plenty of patience as each section must be filled in using digital art applications by hand. The process of designing and completing each part of the video game can take months, even years, so a large team of production artists are contracted to do the work. This is often accomplished by in-house teams as well as independent contractors who work from remote studios. Production artists can make approximately $20 to $30 per hour in most regions.

Blogging 101
Well I'm going to give this blogging thing another try this term. I intend to post more frequently so I'll apologise in advance for the amount of random rubbish I'm probably going to dig up. To some of my classmates that I'm not following... its nothing personal. I'll get my contact list updated asap.
